English Language School in College Park is a member of and strives to meet the standards established by three internationally recognized professional organizations for supporting international students, including:
- TESOL, the international organization that benchmarks performance in the field of English language teaching
- UCIEP, an independent consortium that advances professional standards in instruction and the management of English language programs in U.S. colleges and universities
- NAFSA, Association of Foreign Student Educators
Our English language courses and programs are taught by a professionally trained faculty. Our instructors hold at least a Master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language, applied linguistics, or a related field. Most have taught abroad and mastered a foreign language and believe that their own experience in learning a foreign language and working in other countries has helped them to be better teachers and to understand the challenges that their students face while studying here. The teachers have many different teaching styles and methodologies.
