Strategies for Success on the iBT TOEFL course is offered in the afternoon as an Elective course in addition to the core Summer Intensive English program.
Do you need to prepare for the TOEFL test? If you have intermediate to advanced level English skills, this course can help you prepare for the TOEFL test. You'll receive comprehensive training in the speaking, listening, reading and writing skills the TOEFL test demands.
You'll also be guided in proven test-taking strategies and be introduced to the thinking that went into creating the test.
The TOEFL preparation course features the most up-to-date, realistic practice tests and cooperative learning strategies led by some of the most experienced teachers in the field.
You'll join in class discussions to reinforce your knowledge of the structure of English. You'll complete in-class and homework assignments related to developing listening, reading and writing strategies.
You'll use the computer classroom to prepare for the Internet-based TOEFL test. At least two class sessions will be devoted to full-length TOEFL iBT simulation tests, as well as diagnostic pre- and post-tests, that allow you to identify strengths and weaknesses and assess improvement in each section.
