Junior Summer Camp at Queen's College Campus

Residential English Summer Camp for Teens (14 - 17 years old) in New York offers English classes, accommodation, catering, sports and social facilities at the Queen's College Campus of the City University of New York.

Program duration: from 2 to 6 weeks.
Dates: June 26 - August 7, 2011.
Students can join the camp program any Sunday during this period.
Age: 14 to 17 years old

Please note: Day Camp program without accommodations is not available.

Located on a tree-lined, 77-acre campus with grassy open spaces, Queens College has a traditional quad and a spectacular view of the Manhattan skyline, which is only 30 minutes away. This is a closed campus, offering a wide range of brand new facilities.

Top class sporting and recreational facilities are available on campus, including indoor sports hall, athletic tracks and swimming pool, along with a range of modern cafes, outdoor dining, and attractive communal recreational areas.

The summer camp program includes one full-day and one half-day excursions per week and full afternoon and evening activity program.

English Language Program and Our Teachers

English Language Program details:

Lessons: 20 lessons per week
Class size: 15 students
Lesson duration: 50 minutes
Levels: beginner to advanced

On their first day, students take a test to ensure they are placed in an appropriate level. There are six levels from beginner to advanced.

English Summer Camp for Teens in New York City On arrival, students will also receive a welcome pack including information about the course and a free student bag.

Students will have a progress test in class every two weeks and meet individually with their teacher to review their progress. At the end of the course students will receive a certificate as a record of their English language studies.

All our teachers are university graduates with recognised TEFL certificates, and are extensively briefed on the particular needs of young learners. The language is brought to life through a vibrant and functional approach. In addition to formal language skills training, lessons include project work, videos, games and use of our International's wide variety of modern English language teaching resources.
